Join the Aggregator!

Welcome to the Stata blog aggregator.

For readers, this blog serves as a combined feed that offers access to a range of Stata bloggers of various disciplines.

For bloggers, this blog offers a mechanism to connect with new readers, a tool to connect with other bloggers, and a forum to publicly showcase your posts to a wider audience.

If you are interested in having your Stata blog included in the aggregator, please email me at smartfra@msu.edu with a feed to your blog.  In order to be eligible to contribute your blog must conform to the following standards:

1. You must provide a link to Stata-Bloggers from your blog.

2. You must not post in a way that might overwhelm the aggregator.  Instead of posting multiple times per day, instead combine your posts to a lengthier more thorough single post instead.

3. The blog posts from the feed you provide must be only on Stata.  If you post on multiple subjects some of which include Stata then there are options available to limit your feed only to those posts labelled “Stata”.

4. Your blog must be in English.  Though I appreciate that everybody speaks different languages, I am not sure how useful an aggregator would be if many of the posts could not be read by the majority of viewers.

How to set up a Stata only feed:

Blogger: You can easily select only feeds with the label Stata on them by using the following directory.  For instance with my blog EconometricsBySimulation:

http://www.econometricsbysimulation.com/feeds/posts/default/-/Stata

WordPress: With wordpress you can select only the feed category with the following url syntax.  For example with this blog stata-bloggers.com

http://www.stata-bloggers.com/category/Stata/feed/
